My stay at Extended Stay America Katy Freeway was a mixed experience. The location was convenient, right off the highway and close to downtown, but the surroundings were unkempt with litter and cigarette butts. The rooms were subpar with cleanliness issues and poor lighting, although the hotel staff were friendly and accommodating. The dining options were minimal, and the pool was closed throughout my stay, which was disappointing.

The hotel was surprisingly quiet, but my check-in wasn't ready until later in the day, around 4 pm. The room could use a bit of an upgrade as the appliances seemed worn out. The service was top-notch, with staff going out of their way to meet all guest needs.
